Another market day

A day on the streets in Ho Chi Minh City. Slicing up some bitter melon. Yes, it is bitter. Used as a vegetable in soup.Papaya. For once, Vietnam does not have the superior variety of fruit. Though I only know one variety of papaya that doesn't taste like vomit--the red papaya, from south of the border or something.
Prawns.

Like my dad says, free range chickens have just one bad day. Cock fighting is still blatant out in the country.

Sorry, snake-headed fish, the ASPCA only rescues cute aminals.

These are some freaky looking (and really, really sad looking) fish--no idea what they are. They may be in the gracefully-flying unicorn fish sort. Don't know if those are big sad eyes or false eye spots.
